Estonian championship in Karksi Nuia. 3rd place!

We had first estonian championship race in Karksi nuia. In the free training and qualification, we placed second, right after Varik/koiv. In the first heat we were about 5th after the first corner. We managed to rise to 3rd place in the heat.

Second heat started badly because we got little bit stucked in the first corner crash. We managed to get really good speed and on the last lap we passed Saloniemi / Saloniemi who were second during that time. In the second heat we placed 2nd. In the day result we were 3rd. We were really happy with our speed that have been getting better all the time and we also drove the 2nd heat´s best lap time, when 25 mins had been driving.

Järvä Jaani and Kegums races

We had estonian cup race in Järva jaani on saturday, we raced to 6th and 7th places in the heats. We had problems with the clutch and we had to start as a last, so it was difficult to rise to higher points.

On sunday we raced in Kegums, where the Latvian championship race was held. In the qualification we were 5th. Our clutch was still broken and also all the time problems with all the small things what comes to engine. In the first heat we took start, but after few seconds Sergis /parksepp past us, and we managed to stay behind Sergis 2 laps. Middle of the heat Silis brothers manged to pass us. We placed 3rd in the heat and we were really happy with the result and stamina. Second heat started , but because of clutch problems we were last one after the first corner. We managed to rise to 5th place and so we achieved 3rd place in the dayresult. It was unforgettable situation to stand with Sergis in the podium!!

Training and heading towards Baltic races

We have been trying to practice as much as possible after training week in Germany. We have had little problems with "quality" training because of closed and bad condition tracks. Next weekend we have our next races in Estonia (Järva-Jaani) and in Latvia (Kegums), so hopefully it will be good practice for Gp´s in the future.

Training week in Germany and race in Slagelse Danmark

Finally we managed to start training with our new sidecar. At first we were in Vimmerby (sweden) for training and after that we went to Germany. During the week we drove in many tracks and gained a lot of experience of mighty Zabel. Last day in Germany we spend on Juterbog motocross track and it was unbelievable good track for training. On saturday
we headed to the first Danmark championship race to Slagelse. It is the same track where G.P race is held this year.

Raceday started really well because we were fastest in free training. After this we were 3rd in qualifying race.
In the first heat we took the holeshot, but we dropped to 4th place. During the last laps of first heat we got
more speed and got really close to 3rd place. On the last lap our gearbox broke down and we had to break
off. The little claw from the gear axel broke down and we couldn´t change gears anymore.
We had a bad luck, but we were happy because we only had 4 hours drive with new sidecar
combination and we could drive a good heat before break off.

The training week was extremely important for us and also this race was good situation for us
to see what our speed is at the moment. Pictures and video of the trip here!

The first test in Toijala

Weather keeps being bad here in Finland and motocross tracks are in horrible condition. Because of our becoming trainingweek in Germany ,we decided to go for a test eventhough the weather was really bad. We drove only 30min. ,but we got a good feeling how sidecar is running. Now it is a little better to go for a trainingweek.

We will also take part to the open championship race of Danmark on 17.4. The track is in Slagelse and it is the
same that we the GP race is
held this year on september. It is good track to start the season!

Waiting for the spring...

Everything starts to be ready for the season, but the weather here still keeps our sidecar to stay in the garage. Because of this we decided to go to Germany for week 15. In Germany there are many really good tracks where to practice also weather have been much better. We were testing our sidecar yesterday in Jämsä but after two laps we stopped
because of too much water on the track.

Our new supporter Faktavisa Oy makes our training week in Germany possible.

Tuning up the sidecar

Season is once again starting and we have been modifying new sidecar a little. We improved the cooling system
by adding VMC front cooler, so I think that there will not be problems with high water temperature
in the future.
